A new beginning.

I’m sure that a lot of followers of my work will realize by now that I have a new website. So I’ve been deliberating what to do with my blog site. I have moved all my recent weddings to showcase on my new site so I’ve come up with an idea of what to do with all my weddings that I photograph.. I’m very limited to space on my main website and I can’t add all my recent weddings there, so I’ll add one image of every wedding that I do, but I’ll only add the image that best sums up my work, the best image of that wedding in my opinion. Many followers or fans of my work will know that I’m a wedding photographer that likes to capture real images of heart stopping moments at weddings. It’s what I’m best at. Now I have a small problem with that. When I was a bit younger or when I first started out as a photographer my dream was to be a fashion photographer. I just love fashion, not necessarily the industry but the mood of fashion photography so I enjoy to create fashion style portraits of the brides and grooms I photograph too. I have a book collection that I’ve collected of famous fashion photographers and it’s just a huge passion of mine. I just haven’t had the time to really get into it. I’ve been so busy over the past ten years trying to become the best wedding photographer I can be that it has consumed all of my time, and time has literally flown by so quick.

I’ll showcase the more creative side of my work here on my blog. Thanks for visiting.

Molenvliet Wedding- Image of the week

Molenvliet is a wine farm in Stellenbosch and it’s just a gorgeous place. The farm has a two tier aspect to it which makes it a unique location for a wedding. This image I captured at Dylan and Tasnim’s wedding recently. I was setting up for family photographs when I saw the two bridesmaids walking towards me. I didn’t even have time to get the settings on the camera set correctly but took a chance and this is what I ended up with. Priceless!! Val de Vie Wedding - Image of the week

Jewish weddings can be very emotional and I really love this image I captured at Dan and Lee - Ann’s wedding at Val de Vie recently. Dan’s father embraces his son after the unveiling which is a traditional custom at jewish weddings. You can view the full wedding on my main website in recent weddings here http://www.ryangrahamphotography.com

Val de Vie Wedding - Image of the week

Val de Vie is probably my favourite wedding venue in Cape Town. It suits my work perfectly. It has big open spaces which I find is perfect for me to do my best work. The light that falls on the venue in the late afternoon is simply breathtaking for couple pictures. I captured this image of Vergelheo and Taryn in the rolls royce courtesy car on the way to photograph their couple portraits. Verge was eating prawns and Taryn was doing her make up in the mirror. Priceless!! You can view the full wedding in recent weddings on my main website at http://www.ryangrahamphotography.com

Greek Wedding - Image of the week

I captured this image at Cost and Soula”s Greek wedding in Johannesburg recently. As Soula got out the car at the church I snapped this amazing pose of her. There’s such happiness in this image that’s why I selected it. You can see the full wedding in recent weddings on my main website at http://www.ryangrahamphotography.com

Vrede en Lust Wedding - Image of the week

I captured this great image recently at Philip and Lauren’s wedding at Vrede en Lust in Franschhoek. Sometimes the best images appear before me when people are least expecting them. I photographed some portraits of the ladies and as we we’re leaving I captured this moment.
